Assyrian General Conference meetings in Damascus - Syria

Meeting with Dr. Saleh al-Mutlaq.

A delegation of the Assyrian General Conference, met with the head of the Iraqi National Dialogue Front Dr. Saleh al-Mutlaq during his visit to the Syrian capital Damascus, on Friday February, 29 2008. The delegation discussed several issues, including the position of the Iraqi parties toward the Assyrian suffering and the current political situation in Iraq. The delegation was comprised of Mr. Akram Tedy Conference representative in the Syrian Arab Republic and Mr. Edward Sleewo. Both parties agreed to continue their meetings and cooperation.

A delegation of the Assyrian General Conference, met with the Swiss Ambassador in Damascus, on Sunday February, 24 2008. The delegation discussed the humanitarian situation and the living conditions of the Iraqi community in general and the Assyrian people in particular. The delegation was comprised of Mr. Akram Teddy Conference representative in the Syrian Arab Republic and Mr. Sargon Malko.
The Ambassador expressed appreciation and stressed the need for cooperation to alleviate this suffering.
